We used yeast and fly models of polyglutamine diseases to study how enhancement of mitochondrial function affords suppression of polyglutamine-induced cytotoxicity in the context of stress and aging.
Dasmanthie De Silva graduated in December 2015 and Ya-Ting Tu in March 2016. They are now following postdoctoral training at Berkley and Stanford, respectively.
Our labs are moving next week (9/25/15) to fully renovated space in the Neurology Research building (NRB) in the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. In the campus map, our current building is marked with a blue cross and the new building with a red cros. Our official new address will be soon available.
